Lawrence Therrien II, 48

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Lawrence Richard Therrien II, 48, of North Adams died at home on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Born in Springfield, MA on May 28, 1977, he was the son of Carol Ann (Scott) and Lawrence Richard Therrien. Lawrence attended schools in North Adams, including McCann High School and Drury High School.

Lawrence was employed as the Assistant Plant Manager at ALADCO in Adams for many years. He enjoyed Fishing, trains, drawing, collecting Hess Trucks and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his adult children, Hayden (Jacob) Therrien of Pownal, VT and Owen Therrien, US Airforce, Germany. He also leaves his sisters, Kimberly (Scott) Farrington of Adams and Hope Lynn (Robert) Dunn of Adams; nieces and nephews, Spencer Thompson, Bradi (Tyler) Alderman, Elliotte Farrington, and Ian Dunn; grand niece and nephews, Dove, Finn and Shay Alderman; the mother of his children, Stephanie Vogt-Gutierrez; and longtime best friend, Jimmy Lemieux.

Services for Lawrence will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main Street, North Adams. Calling hours will precede the service starting at 2:00 PM. Donations in Lawrence’s memory can be made directly to POPCares or through Flynn & Dagnoli. I have known Richard since elementary school. He was always such a nice, polite kid. Even into adulthood, I would bump into him and he'd always say hello. Very sad to hear of his passing and I wish his family and friends peace.
