WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —  Helene Louise (Casey) Mohn, 93, died on June 4, 2026. A life long artist, she was known for stunning, award winning paintings of the seashore, boats and birds, evoking the ocean and life near the shore that inspired her. Born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1933, to Joseph Casey and Margaret (Rechenberger) Casey, Helene grew up near Washington D.C. After high school, Helene explored the country, attending art school in Berkeley, spending time as a “ski bum” in Aspen, living in Key West. She eventually made a home in Boston and Norwood, MA.

Helene worked as a membership manager for the Better Business Bureau until her retirement.

Survivors include her son, Warren L. Mohn and his wife, Karen, of Williamstown, MA, and her step granddaughter, Kathryn.
