PITTSFIELD, Mass. — It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sheri Ann (Fitch) Trottier, at the age of 54, on 6/10/2026 in Gilmer, Texas.

Sheri was born on Nov. 2, 1971, in Pittsfield, to Nancy Jane Hart (mother) and John Fitch (father). She grew up in Pittsfield, and went on to become a CNA at Willow Wood of North Adams and Williamstown.

Sheri will be remembered for her love of sports, her personality, and her gratitude for her family and friends. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by her community, especially her family and friends. She will also always be remembered as a huge fan of the Yankees until 2024, as well as her love of hockey and football, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Los Angeles Rams.

Sheri is survived by her children, Richard Joseph Trottier and Amber Lynne (Trottier) Bass; a son-in-law, Keegan Bass; and a grandson, Carter Alexander Bass. She left behind two uncles, David Hart and Robert Hart; one aunt, Mary Hart; and many extended family members who are still with us today. Sheri may rest in peace, joining her significant other, Brent Richardson, and many other family members who are no longer with us.

A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2026, from 1 pm-3 pm at the American Legion on 91 American Legion Dr, North Adams, MA 01247. Friends and family are welcome to attend, share memories, and photos.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Legion to help with the cost of laying Sheri to rest. The family also requests that any attending guests wear something purple to remember Sheri, as that was her favorite color, and this will bring Sheri honor while we lay her to rest.
