Allen D. Haskins, 68

SAVOY, Mass. —

Mr. Allen D. Haskins, 68, of Savoy, died Friday morning, July 17, 2026 at his home. He was born in Adams on November 11, 1957, a son of the late Douglas and Doris (Clairmont) Haskins. He attended Adams schools and graduated from Automotive Technology program at C.H. McCann Technical High School, North Adams. He had lived in Savoy his whole life.

Allen worked as a mechanic for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation at their Lanesboro maintenance garage for over 30 years, until retiring in 2014. He was a member of the Town of Savoy Finance Committee and had served as a Selectman there for several years. Allen was a classic vehicle enthusiast and enjoyed going to truck pulling events and country fairs.

He is survived by his brother, Wayne J. Haskins and his wife Catherine L. Twiss of Savoy, his nephew Jason D. Haskins, his beloved cat Wills, as well as several cousins. He was predeceased by his infant sister, Sandra Jean Haskins.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 21st at 11:00 AM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.

Very sorry to hear of Al’s passing. He was a great guy, a friend, and a true Savoy individual. He loved his old cars and was a fountain of knowledge whenever asked anything to do with the town. He will be truly missed. Condolences to his family and friends.
