LANESBOROUGH, Mass. —  

Paul "Monk" LeBarron, 70, of Lanesboro, MA died peacefully at home October 30, 2026, after a two-year struggle with cancer.

Paul attended Mt. Greylock High School. He worked as a laborer (Local #473) for J.H. Maxymillian for 35 years before retiring.

Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He so enjoyed watching his sons play sports as they grew up - little league baseball, football, and especially wrestling.

He loved gatherings with family and friends - playing Dice and Pitch, and dancing in the kitchen.

Paul leaves the love of his life, his wife, Cathy (Smith) of 47 years, his sons - Jesse and Jason (Danielle), granddaughters Eve and Julie, brother Jimmy and sisters Linda Newton & Jeanette LaCasse, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Paul is predeceased by his parents - Ernest & Irene, brothers Dennis & Ernest, and sister Joyce.

Funeral Notice:

Paul's request, there will be no formal funeral services. A "potluck" celebration of life will be Sunday, November 22, 2026 from 1pm to 5pm at the Polish Falcon Club - 32 Bel Air Ave, Pittsfield.
