Linda A. Gomeau, 49
CHESHIRE, Mass. — Linda Ann Gomeau, 49, of 490 Savoy Road died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on July 30, 1953, daughter of Joan V. Pilot Gomeau of North Adams and the late Williams Thomas Gomeau Jr., she attended North Adams schools, including Drury High School.
Ms. Gomeau was first employed by the former Hunter Outdoor Products Co. in North Adams and later by Waverly Fabrics of Adams and the former JoAnn Fabrics of North Adams. She was most recently employed by Wal-Mart in North Adams.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of North Adams.
Besides her mother, she leaves a daughter, Samantha J. Cloutier of Cheshire; a sister, Sally Keating of North Adams; a brother, James A. Gomeau of Adams; her paternal grandmother, Alice M. Howland Gomeau of Adams, and her longtime companion, Valmore S. Cloutier Sr.
Her sister Marcia Gomeau died in 1957.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Ms. Gomeau will take place Monday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. Burial in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, Aug. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations suggested for any charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
