Angela Cora DelGrande

Angela Cora DelGrande, 94 of 10 Fairview Road. Housatonic, died Sunday August 18, 2002 at the Fairview Commons in Great Barrington. She was born in Italy, June 3,1908 Daughter of the late John B.and Justina Cora. She was educated in Italy and moved to Housatonic in 1920. She was co-owner and manager of the former Macano Inn in Housatonic from 1936-1953 when she retired and her son “Jimmy” and daughter-in-law Ann took over the family business. She was a communicant and member of the Rosary Sodality at Corpus Christi Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an excellent cook. She was the widow of Joseph DelGrande who died June 13,1973. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Ann C. DelGrande of Wareham, MA. Two sisters, Mary Bartoni and Rena Lis both of Housatonic, 7 grandchildren, James and Lynn, Peter and Robin, Michael and Margaret, Joseph and Dana, David and Anne, Timothy and Katherine DelGrande and Laurie and Michael McDonnell, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was pre-deceased by her son Jimmy who died March 15,1998, and two brothers Joseph and Peter. Funeral services for Angela Cora DelGrande who died Sunday August 18, 2002 will be Thursday August 22,2002 at 9 AM from THE BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME to be followed by a liturgy of Christian Burial at 1O:00 AM. in Corpus Christi Church with the Rev. Anthony Jutt pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday August 21,2002 from 4-7 PM.
