Francis Stawarz

Francis Stawarz, 67, of 35 North Summer St. died Saturday afternoon at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in Adams on Aug. 27, 1934, son of Frank and Anna Durejczyk Stawarz, he was a 1952 graduate of the former Adams High School. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1959 and was based in California. Mr. Stawarz was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 38 years, retiring in 1992. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of the Sprague Electric Quarter Century Club. He leaves a brother, Joseph Stawarz of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Francis Stawarz will be tomorrow, Aug. 27, at 9:30 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be tomorrow morning from 9 to 9:30 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus' Church in care of the funeral home. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
