Alfred John Solari 85 of 86 Lyman Street North Adams, MA. died Wednesday September 4, 2002 at Williamstown Commons, 25 Adams Road, Williamstown. He was born in the Zylonite Section of Adams, Mass on April 1, 1917 a son of the late Ernest Solari and Severina ( Buletti ) Solari. The family moved to North Adams on December 1, 1921 and he was educated in North Adams schools including Drury High School in North Adams. In his younger years, he was employed with the former Gale Shoe Company on Brown Street, North Adams and later, he was employed with the former R. J. Widen Tannery on Ashton Avenue, North Adams. Before his retirement In 1979 he was last employed with the Buildings & Grounds Department of Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. Mr. Solari was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of North Adams. Survivors Include one sister & her husband Rita & Edward Lemanski of Adams Mass. and two brothers and a sister in law Peter & Jane Solari and Armand Solari of North Adams and nieces nephews grandnieces and grandnephews. A sister Lena Solari Calvano died on July 8. 2002. Funeral services wi11 take place Saturday September 7, 2002 at 10 AM at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapels 74 Marshall St North Adams, Mass followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at l0:30 AM at ST. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in the Solari Family plot at Southviev Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for funerals Central Chapels 74 Marshall St. North Adams are Saturday September 7, 2002 from 9 AM until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the St. Francis Renovation Fund through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals 74 Marshall St. North Adams, Mass 01247 which is in charge of arrangements.
