Elizabeth Carlotto, 78, of 2 Bernard Gibbons Drive, Housatonic, formerly of 12 Mountain View St., died yesterday at Fairview Commons. Born in Waterbury, Conn., on Aug. 8, 1924, daughter of Severino and Cecelia Rossi Ramponi, she was educated in Catholic schools there. She moved to Housatonic in 1944. Mrs. Carlotto had been employed as a housekeeper at the Mountain View and Monument Mountain motels in Great Barrington until her retirement in 1985. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles. She and her husband, Joseph M. Carlotto, were married 43 years at the time of his death March 10, 1988. She leaves a son, Jeffrey J. Carlotto of Alston; a daughter, Priscilla Wood of Housatonic; a brother, John Ramponi of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a sister, Virginia Mango of Oakville, Conn.; two grandsons, and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Elizabeth "Betty" Carlotto, who died Nov. 3, 2002, will be Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 9 from BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery. The family will receive friends tomorrow, Nov. 5, from 3 to 5. Expressions of sympathy in Betty's memory may be made to the Corpus Christi Building Fund, in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
