Nellie Zucco

Nellie Zucco, 95, of 109 Seekonk Cross Road, died yesterday at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born Dec. 23, 1906, in Postalesio, Italy, daughter of Stephen and Beltina Albertazzi Delmolino, she immigrated at the age of 3 to Sheffield, where her family operated a farm for many years. She attended local schools. In 1924, she married Antonio Zucco and moved to Great Barrington. She enjoyed gardening and was known for her strawberries and raspberries. Mr. Zucco died in 1970. She leaves two sons, Francis Zucco of Great Barrington and James Zucco of Sheffield; a sister, Alice Colli of Canaan, Conn.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Nellie Delmolino Zucco, who died yesterday, will be tomorrow, Nov. 11, at 9 at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield celebrated by the Rev. John S. Lis. Burial will follow in Sheffield Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends today, Nov. 10, from 2 to 5 . Memorial donations may be made to the SBVAS or to the Fairview Hospital Development Fund, both in care of the funeral home. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven sisters and three brothers.
