Michael John Sebastino

Michael John Sebastino, 46, of 37 Park St. died Saturday at home following a brief illness. Born in North Adams on Dec. 18, 1955, son of Antonio John and Edith Dora Bushee Sebastino, he was educated in local schools, including McCann Technical High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1974 and served as a sergeant with the paratroopers with HHC of the 325th Infantry in the Panama Canal zone and the United States. He returned to North Adams in 1977 and was employed as a carpenter and roofer with several building contractors in Berkshire County, including Watson Builders, Chapman Carpenters and Neathawk Builders. In his younger years, he was a milk route salesman with the former Modern Dairy in North Adams. Mr. Sebastino was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. He enjoyed boxing and building miniature houses. He leaves four daughters, S/Sgt. USAF Monica Lee Harpole, Jennifer Marie Sebastino, Stephanie Joan Sebastino and Catherine Eileen Goman, all of North Adams; a sister, Janet Emma Sebastino of Williamstown; six brothers, Joseph Sebastino of Pownal, Vt., Jerry Sebastino of Clarksburg, Bruce Sebastino, John Sebastino, Arthur Sebastino and Anthony Sebastino, all of North Adams; and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Michael J. Sebastino will take place Thursday, Nov. 14, at 9:30 at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish Center, 68 Marshall St., with the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are today, Wednesday, from 3 to 6. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested through the funeral home. Survivors include three grandchildren, Kayla Harpole, Devon Babson and Dillon Babson of North Adams, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
