Rita Rose Squires, 73, formerly of 31 Bradford St., died yesterday morning at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 18, 1928, daughter of Richard and Marjorie Sigsworth Doyle, she attended local schools. A homemaker, Mrs. Squires was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Her husband, Edward A. Squires, died May 22, 1996. She leaves three sons, Jerome F. Squires and Kenneth R. Squires, both of East Durham, N.Y., and Stephen E. Squires of Albany; a daughter, Evelyn Squires of Catskill, N.Y.; four brothers, John Doyle of Cheshire, David Doyle of Lanesboro, Richard Doyle of Bristol, Conn., and James Doyle of Miami Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Katherine Bourchard, Gertrude Brister and Ruth Jones, all of Pittsfield; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Linda Rabenold, died July 17, 1979. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Rita Rose Squires, who died Tuesday, Nov., 12, was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Doyle, and two sisters, Lillian Miller and Margaret Doyle. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 15, at 9 at the DERY FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
