Margaret E. Sermini

Margaret E. Sermini, 86, of 45 Pearl St. died Wednesday at Fairview Hospital. Born in Great Barrington at the family home on East Street on Aug. 24, 1916, daughter of John T. and Margaret Kane Dunn, she was a 1934 graduate of the former Searles High School. Mrs. Sermini was bookkeeper for the family business, Sermini Mason Contractors, retiring in 1984. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church and enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and sewing. Her husband, Harry J. Sermini, whom she married June 24, 1939, in St. Peter's, died April 19, 2001. She leaves a son, Robert Sermini of Great Barrington; a daughter, Mary Huggins of Great Barrington; a sister, Agnes Murphy of Great Barrington; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Another son, John Sermini, died March 10, 1987. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Margaret E. Sermini died Dec. 25, 2002. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow, Dec. 28, at 10 at St. Peter's Church by the Rev. Shaun O'Connor. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends tomorrow from 9 to 9:30 at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME.
