Anna D. Zanin Ferretti

Anna D. Zanin Ferretti, 103, formerly of Heaton Court in Stockbridge, died early yesterday morning at Fairview Commons Nursing Home in Great Bar-rington, where she had been a resident since Nov. 2, 1994. Born in Caldogna, Italy, on May 2, 1899, daughter of Tetio and Anna Dotto, she attended schools in Italy. She moved to Chicago with her family in 1922. That same year, she married Bartolo Zanin. The couple moved to Housatonic in 1930, first settling on Hart Street and later moving to Maple Street. She worked as a seamstress at the former Great Barrington Manufacturing Co. for many years, retiring in the 1940s. After her husband died on March 4, 1942, she moved back to Chicago. In 1945, married Sestilio Ferretti. She returned to Great Barrington in 1983, after her second husband died. She then became one of the original tenants at Heaton Court in Stockbridge. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She leaves her son, John "Zip" Zanin of Housatonic; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours.
