Laurette C. Kegresse

Laurette C. Kegresse, 79, of 17 Pleasant St. died Monday afternoon at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Montreal on Oct. 30, 1923, daughter of Arthur and Marie Pelletier Bonsant, she moved to Adams as a child with her mother and attended local schools. Mrs. Kegresse was employed by Excelsior Printing Co. in North Adams for seven years, retiring in 1986. Before that, she had worked for the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. and the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas'. Her first husband, Noel Clermont, and her second husband, Adolph Krok, are both deceased. Her husband, Paul Kegresse, whom she married Aug. 2, 1969, died Sept. 8, 1993. She leaves a son, Richard Clermont of New Ashford; two daughters, Caroline Bator of Andover, Conn., and Lisa Puppolo of Adams; two stepsons, Robert Kegresse of Clemons, N.C., and Leon Kegresse of Summitville, N.Y., 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Laurette C. Kegresse will be Thursday, Jan. 30, at 9 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in Notre Dame Church in Adams by the Reve. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 8. Donations in her memory can be made to Meals on Wheels through the funeral home.
