William H. "Mickey" Bessette

William H. "Mickey" Bessette, 56, of Malden, a native of Adams, died Saturday at Salem Hospital after a long illness. Born on Dec. 7, 1946, son of the late Gerald Bessette and Geraldine Kearns Bessette Mahoney, he attended local schools. He had resided in Walpole for 25 years and moved to Malden 10 years ago. Mr. Bessette was employed by Hazelton Heating Supply in West Newton as a truck driver prior to his illness. He had also worked for various trucking companies in the Walpole/Boston area. He leaves two brothers, Thomas Bessette of Cheshire and David Bessette of Malden. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Joseph Mahoney. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for William H. Bessette on Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 4 to 8 at A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 during the visitation. Memorial donations may be made to All Care of Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Lynn, 16 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901 or to the charity of one's choice. Interment will held at a later date in Adams. He also leaves his sisters-in-law, Barbara and Patty, and nieces and nephews, Trisha Zwirba, Rebecca Sadlow, and Matthew and David Bessette, and two great-nieces.
