Rita Harvey, 72, of 14 Wellington Ave., died at Berkshire Medical Center yesterday. Born in Pittsfield March 3, 1930, daughter of Edward and Alice Ryder Smith, she attended Pittsfield schools. She was employed as an assembler at Greylock Plastics for 13 years, retiring in 1973. Russell Harvey, whom she married April 16, 1949, died Oct. 18, 1955. She leaves three daughters, June Francoeur of Cheshire, Helen Simpson of Pittsfield and Gloria Foley, with whom she lived; a brother, Ralph Mathes of Pittsfield, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Rita Harvey will be on Monday at 2 at the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Following cremation burial will be in the Pittsfield Cemetery at the family's convenience. Calling hours will be on Monday from 1 to 2 at the funeral home. Among survivors are her grandchildren, Amanda and Jason Francoeur, Brian Simpson and Raymond Foley. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home, 320 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
