Felicia J. Tetlow

Felicia J. Dimitropolis-Tetlow, 81, of 26 South Willow St. died Monday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in East Longmeadow on May 15, 1919, daughter of Antonio and Elizabeth Zarlengo Grandi, she attended schools there, including Pleasantview Grammar School and East Longmeadow High School. She moved to Adams in 1939, first settling on Winter Street and later moving to South Willow Street, where she had resided for 40 years. Mrs. Dimitropolis-Tetlow was employed by the Hoosac Cotton Mill, the Wall Streeter Shoe Co. and the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Adams. She retired in 1982. She was a member of St. Mark's Church and the North Adams Women's Bowling League, where she bowled with the Franch Insurance Co. team. Her first husband, Charles C. Dimitropolis, is deceased. Her husband, George S. Tetlow, is also deceased. She leaves four sons, Anthony Dimitropolis of Palmer, and Stephen Dimitropolis, George Dimitropolis and Peter Dimitropolis, all of Adams; four daughters, Elizabeth Martin of East Longmeadow, Anna Tomasello of North Adams, and Shirley Michael and Rose Mary Martin, both of Adams; three sisters, Josephine Becker of Williamstown, Theresa Grandi of West Springfield and Marie Stone of Granby; 17 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Nicholas Dimitropolis, and a son who died in infancy. A communion service is planned for Thursday, March 15, at 1 p.m. in St. Mark's Church, with the Rev. Dunning, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 2-8 Liberty St., Adams, will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
