Joseph Justyn Zieba Sr

Joseph Justyn Zieba Sr., 65, of 14 Murray St. died yesterday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on July 1, 1938, son of Mildred M. Zieba of Adams and the late Henry J. Zieba, he attended Adams schools. He most recently worked for MacDermid Graphicarts Corp. and its predecessor, W.R. Grace Co., in Adams for 17 years. He retired in 2001. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. An avid sportsman, Mr. Zieba was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Society, Adams Outdoorsmen for Youth, Adams Hound & Hunt Club, the Mountain Club and National Rifle Association. His wife, the former Rita Lucille Pelletier, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1958, died March 25, 1998. Besides his mother, he leaves two sons, Joseph J. Zieba Jr. of Orlando, Fla., and Robert Zieba of Adams; three daughters, Paula Randall, Michelle Biros and Danielle Zieba, all of Adams; two brothers, Henry Zieba Jr. and Chester Zieba, both of Adams; a sister, Dorothy Pelletier of Adams, and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be held tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 14 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, celebrated by Rev. Jed Sumampong, C.P. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours are this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Outdoorsmen for Youth through the funeral home. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Zieba.
