Leo Ladouceur

Leo Ladouceur, 76, of 7 Longview Road died Sunday at home. He was a former Lanesboro volunteer fireman. Born in Albany, N.Y., on Nov. 15, 1924, son of Leopold and Camille Bourverette Ladouceur, he graduated from Albany High School. He served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Ladouceur was employed by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority as a toll collector for 27 years, retiring in 1987. He was also a carpenter. He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a charter member and past commander of American Legion Post 446, a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans' Association and a former Cub Scout troop leader. He leaves his wife, the former Hazel DeMyer, whom he married Sept. 27, 1947; two sons, Lee Ladouceur of Albany and Ray La-douceur of Pittsfield; three brothers, Guy Ladouceur of Rens-selaer, N.Y., Philip Ladouceur of Albany, N.Y., and Paul Ladouceur of Colonie, N.Y.; two sisters, Anita Burke of Albany and Theresa Sczkotak of Syracuse, N.Y.; two grandchildren, and a great-grandson. The funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield will be Tuesday from 4 to 8. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Leo will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren, Jay and Marisa, and great-grandson, Zachary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lanesboro Ambulance Service in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St.
