Ronaldson Smith

Ronaldson Smith, 92, formerly of Marblehead, died Tuesday at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. He was the father of Linda C. Gero of Monterey. Born in Meriden, Conn., son of W. Irving and Nellie Smith, he was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Smith was employed as a machine design engineer with GTE in Danvers for 38 years. He was a member of the First Church in Swampscott, Congregational, for 50 years. His wife, the former Phyllis Herring, is deceased. Besides his daughter, he leaves another daughter, Wendy D. Jenkins of Canaan, Conn., and a granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ronaldson Smith will be Tuesday at 10 in the First Church of Swampscott, Congregational, 40 Monument Ave., Swampscott. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 at the LEE, MOODY AND RUSSELL FUNERAL HOME, 9 Dane St., Beverly. He leaves his granddaughter, Kimberly H. Gero.
