Ralph "FooFoo" Louison

Ralph "FooFoo" Louison, 76, of 225 State Road died yesterday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on Sept. 17, 1928, son of James F. and Ethel Heap Louison, he was a 1946 graduate of the former Adams High School. An Army veteran, he served in Germany with the 2nd Armored Division during the Korean War and was discharged with the rank of corporal after two years of service. Mr. Louison was employed as a machine operator at GE in Pittsfield, retiring in 1988 after 23 years of service. Prior to that, he had worked for the former Aldo's Paint store for several years. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams. He was a life member of the Adams Lodge of Elks 1335, and was an avid bowler. He leaves a brother, Donald Louison of Adams, and two sisters, Sidney DelDebbio of North Adams, with whom he made his home, and Marjorie Lesure of Brattleboro, Vt. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ralph "FooFoo" Louison will take place Saturday, July 2, at 11 from the TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, with the Rev. Charles O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Adams Ambulance Fund through the funeral home. He also leaves two sisters-in-law, Stacia Stachura and Joan Louison, and two brothers-in-law, Ernest DelDebbio and Richard Lesure. He was predeceased by a brother, James F. Louison Jr., and a sister, Audrey Scully.
