Mildred Mary Tanguay

Mildred Mary Tanguay, 98, of 292 Beaver St., formerly of 118 Union St., died Saturday morning at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in Adams on Oct. 3, 1906, daughter of Patrick and Virginia M. Wing Keefe, she attended schools there. Mrs. Tanguay was employed at the former Hoosac Cotton Mills for many years. She also worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. for a short time. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. She enjoyed reading. Her husband, Arthur J. Tanguay Sr., whom she married Oct. 31, 1927, died March 18, 1959. She leaves a daughter, Nancy A. Nichols of North Adams; two sons, Arthur J. Tanguay Jr. of North Adams and Neil J. Tanguay of Orlando, Fla.; a brother Lawrence Keefe of Adams; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Mildred Tanguay will be Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at 10:15 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home. Survivors include a son-in-law, Robert Nichols; a daughter-in-law, Doris Tanguay; and her son Neil's companion, Phyllis Whitney. A brother and a sister are deceased, Patrick Keefe and Florence Knabe.
