Helen Catherine Borowski, 101, of 6940 Pan American Blvd., North Port, Fla., formerly of 32 Washington Ave., died Sunday at Quality Health Care Center in North Port. Born in Adams on Oct. 18, 1903, daughter of Felix and Apolonia Konde Gregalis, she attended schools there. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Borowski was employed in Springfield for a short time until moving to North Adams following her marriage. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She lived in Williamstown for 13 years and in Bennington, Vt., for 13 years, before returning to North Adams in 1979. She moved to Florida in 1985. Her husband, Adolph Louis Borowski, whom she married Oct. 30, 1921, died Sept. 16, 1983. She leaves two sons, Robert W. Borowski and Thomas C. Borowski, both of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a sister, Stephanie Driscoll of North Adams; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Another son, Adolph W. Borowski, died April 22, 1974. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Helen Borowski will be celebrated Friday, July 22, 2005 at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. Donations may be made to the St. Francis' Building Fund in care of the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Bruna and Marilyn. Four brothers and two sisters are deceased, Zigmont, Richard, Frank and John Gregalis, and Sophie Gurley and Lee Bruno. She was a devoted wife and mother.
