Margaret E. Duby Lockenwitz

Margaret E. Duby Lockenwitz, 73, of 780 Greylock St., formerly of 125 Pine St., South Lee, died Thursday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Pittsfield on April 27, 1932, daughter of Joseph and Leah Clarke Talbot, she was a 1950 graduate of Lee High School and attended the former St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsfield for a year. Mrs. Lockenwitz was employed by Genaders Store in South Lee and was a nanny for many young children in the Berkshires. Her first husband, Robert V. Duby Sr., died Nov. 30, 1999. They were married July 10, 1952. She and her husband, Robert Lockenwitz, were married April 20, 2002. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Robert V. Duby Jr. of Great Barrington, Josph R. Duby of Housatonic and Gary L. Duby of Kenai, Alaska; three daughters, Leah M. Stanford and Christine E. Herrin, both of Kenai, and Patricia A. Dedrick of South Lee; three stepdaughters, Marilyn Lockenwitz of Lee, Arlene Lockenwitz of Westfield and Jean Dewey of Mesa, Ariz., and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Margaret Duby Lockenwitz, who died July 21, will be conducted Tuesday, July 26, at 6 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee by the Rev. Anthony F. Cullen, associate pastor of St. Mary's Church in Lee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until the time of the service. Friends wishing may make donations to the Colon Cancer Foundation in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Margaret leaves her sister-in-law, Birgit Talbot of Bennington, and her two loving friends Karen Williams of Lee and Nena Tyler of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Talbot.
