Carol Rosalie Conte

Carol Rosalie Conte, 62, of 2512 Highvale Ave., Las Vegas, died Sunday as a result of a motorcycle accident near Tonopah, Nev. Born in Great Barrington on March 3, 1943, daughter of Louis and Rosalie Conte, she graduated from the former Searles High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from Widener University in 1996 and completed her master's degree in physical therapy with high honors from Arcadia University in 1999. Ms. Conte was employed as a registered physical therapist in Las Vegas for five years, retiring earlier this year. Before that, she was a medical technician at Fairview Hospital, and later joined GE in San Jose, Calif., as an engineering technician. She enjoyed golf and photography, and was renovating her home herself when she died. She was married to James Carmody. Besides her husband, she leaves two brothers, Nicholas Conte of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Stephen Conte of Great Barrington, and a sister, Andrea Conte of Nashville, Tenn. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Carol will be deeply missed by her family and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at her home at 2512 Highvale Ave., Las Vegas, at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 28. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Rosalie Conte Foundation, Carol Conte Scholarship Account, c/o First Tennessee Bank, Personal Trust Department, 4385 Poplar Ave., OCC-2, Memphis, TN 38117.
