Eva Hart

Eva Hart, 82, of 5532 East Aspen Ave., Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Great Barrington, died at Heartstone Rehab & Health Center on July 15 in Mesa. Born in Stephentown, N.Y., on April 27, 1923, daughter of Floyd and Pearl Loomis Johnson, she moved to Great Barrington in 1933 with her family and attended schools there, including the former Searles High School. Mrs. Hart was employed by Becton-Dickinson in Canaan, Conn., retiring in 1981. She was a former member of First Congregational Church and of the Great Barrington Grange. She enjoyed camping and crafts. Her husband, Norman Hart, whom she married March 22, 1941, in Great Barrington, died in 1993. She leaves two daughters, Norma Corcoran of The Villages, Fla., and Linda Dodge of Lakeville, Conn.; three sons, Ronald Hart of Monterey, Richard Hart of Pittsfield and Timothy Hart of Framingham; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves her companion, William Sider of Mesa. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Graveside Service for Eva Hart, who died Friday, July 15, 2005, will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 6, at 10 at Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Alan C. Macy. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Linda Morales, Ann Hart and Kristen Hart; sons-in-law, Henry Dodge and Paul Corcoran, and her beloved dog, Corky.
