Rita Ann Lomaglio

Rita Ann Lomaglio, 69, of 104 Michael Drive died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Pittsfield on June 17, 1936, daughter of Alessandro and Assunta Pignone Lomaglio, she was a 1954 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a graduate of the former Berkshire Business College. Miss Lomaglio was employed by GE for 35 years, retiring in 1991 as a quality control specialist in the ordnance department. She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs and Sons of Italy Itam Lodge 564. She enjoyed traveling and music. She leaves two sisters, Josephine A. Lomaglio and Elaine Costanzo, both of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Rita Ann Lomaglio will be Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Paul Burns, CSS. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Survivors include three nephews, Anthony and Michael Costanzo and Alexander Lomaglio; a niece, Susan Lomaglio; a sister-in-law, Lena Lomaglio; a brother-in-law, Francis Costanzo, and several cousins. Rita was predeceased by her brother, Angelo A. Lomaglio. Rita's main interest in life was her family, relatives and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of Renal Dialysis, Berkshire Medical Center Renal Unit, in care of the funeral home.
