Nancy Lee Alibozek, 60, of 420 Stewart White Road died yesterday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer. Born in North Adams on June 25, 1945, daughter of the late Delbert and Dorothy Osborne Darling, she attended schools there and in Williamstown. For the past 24 years, Mrs. Alibozek worked as a machinist at Steinerfilm Inc. in Williamstown. She also worked at the former Burger Chef in North Adams. She and her husband, Joseph J. Alibozek Jr., would have celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary Nov. 8. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Todd M. and Ernest R. Tatro, both of North Adams; a daughter, Wendy A. Laughlin of Adams; two brothers, Robert Darling of North Adams and William Darling of Pownal, Vt.; a sister, Margaret McLain of Williamstown, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Nancy Darling Alibozek will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 25, at 10 at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Aug. 24, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department or the Eileen Barrett Foundation through the funeral home. She was predeceased by two brothers, Delbert Darling Jr. and Gerald Darling, and by three sisters, Katherine Clifton, Carol Morrison and Joan Sweet.
