Mabel Walton

Mabel Walton, 86, of 917 North Main St. died Saturday at Craneville Place in Dalton, where she had resided for 11 years. Born in Williamstown on Sept. 30, 1918, daughter of William and Della Brooks Walton, she attended the former Old Stone School. She was a homemaker. Miss Walton was a longtime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Lanesborough. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and vegetable gardening. She leaves several nieces and nephews, including Robert "Booney" Daniels and Grace "Patty" Christiansen, who were her caregivers. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Miss Mabel Walton will be Wednesday at 11 at Riverside Cemetery in Lanesborough. There will be no calling hours. If friends desire, donations are suggested to the Lanesborough Fire Department in care of WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
