Pete F. Dufur

Pete F. Dufur, 58, of 3 Park Drive died yesterday at home. Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 6, 1946, son of Irene Kristensen Dufur and the late Alton L. Dufur, he was a 1964 graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School. He served in the Army for two years. A machinist in the plastics mold industry, Mr. Dufur worked for Lansen Mold, Mold Master, Hi-Tech Mold & Tool and Lakewood Mold. He was a member of the Berkshire Bowmen and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Besides his mother, of Lanesborough, he leaves two daughters, Dana Dufur of Pittsfield and Rebecca Dufur of Lanesborough; two brothers, Carl Dufur of Pittsfield and Robert Dufur of Lanesborough; a sister, Ellen Jones of Hinsdale, and a granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Pete F. Dufur, who died Monday, Sept. 12, will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 15, at 10 at St. Charles' Church in Pittsfield by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor of North American Martyrs' Church in Lanesborough. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Sept. 14, from 4 to 8 at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. He also leaves his granddaughter, Morgan Lynn Pannesco, and her father, P.J. Pannesco, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and his dogs, Penny and Cody. A brother, Edward Dufur, died in 1995.
