Edward A. Delmolino Jr.

Edward A. Delmolino Jr., 93, formerly of Egremont-Sheffield Road, died Saturday at Fairview Commons, where he had resided for three years. Born in Sheffield on Jan. 28, 1912, son of Edward A. Delmolino Sr. and Elizabeth Batacchi Delmolino, he attended schools there, including the former Lime Kiln School. Mr. Delmolino owned and operated Quarry Hill Dairy Farms. He was also a general contractor in Sheffield and vice president of the former Delmolino Tire Center. He retired in 1999. After his retirement, he mowed lawns, and plowed and worked for Paul Batacchi, a cousin. He enjoyed fishing. His wife, the former Louise Zucco, whom he married in 1938 in Great Barrington, died in 1999. He leaves a son, Edward Delmolino III of Sheffield; a daughter, Donna L. Peck of Copake, N.Y.; a brother, John Delmolino of Sheffield; a sister, Jean McCarthy of Canaan, Conn., two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Graveside Service for Edward A. Delmolino Jr. of Sheffield will be Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at 2 at St. Peter's Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Shaun O'Connor, M.I.C. There will be no calling hours. He is also survived by a grandson, Edward Delmolino of Washington state, his granddaughter, Nellie Langdon of Copake, and great-granddaughter, Lula Bly Langdon. He was predeceased by a sister, Dalena, and four brothers, Oldo, Alio, Raymond and Bruno Delmolino.
