Bernard Paul Cimini

Bernard Paul Cimini, 75, of Wimbleton Drive, Longmeadow, a native of Pittsfield, died Friday at home. Born on Jan. 6, 1930, son of Samuel and Angelina Cimini Cimini, he was a 1947 graduate of Pittsfield High School and took a postgraduate course at Suffolk Academy before entering Norwich University in Northfield, Vt., where he received a bachelor's degree in government and law and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He moved to Longmeadow 38 years ago. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served two years and was discharged as a first lieutenant. Mr. Cimini retired as an underwriter for Cigna Insurance in Bloomfield, Conn. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Longmeadow. He and his wife, the former Ann T. Connor, were married May 14, 1955. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Ann Marie Stone of Brimfield and Carla J. Szczepanek of Longmeadow; three sons, Michael P. Cimini of Easthampton, Stephen C. Cimini of Springfield and John E. Cimini of Westfield; a sister, Phyllis Halloran of West Springfield, and 12 grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Family and friends of Bernard P. Cimini, 75, are invited for a period of visitation Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 at HAFEY East Longmeadow Chapels, 120 Shaker Road, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:15 at St. Mary's Church, Longmeadow. Rights of Committal will be held at 2 in the chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
