Veronica B. McAndrews

Veronica B. McAndrews, 91, of 3 Myrtle St. died yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on April 7, 1914, daughter of Albert and Katherine Muron Gebarowski, she attended local schools. Although primarily a homemaker, Mrs. McAndrews worked for several years at the former Waverly Fabrics. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas and a member and past president of the Polish Women's Club, a member of St. Thomas Rosary Sodality and Court Sancta Regina 904 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and a member and past director of the Adams Council on Aging. She also was a member of a quilting club. Her husband, Michael J. McAndrews, whom she married Oct. 22, 1936, died Feb. 14, 1962. She leaves three daughters, Barbara A. Meczywor of Adams, Deidre Sanderson of Hudson and Joan Ryczek of Adams; two sons, Michael P. McAndrews of Naples, Fla., and Owen B. McAndrews of Fort Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Chester Gebarowski of South Daytona, Fla., and Theodore Gebrowski of Naples; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by two other daughters, Jean Pitroff and Josephine McAndrews. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Veronica McAndrews will be Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 9 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church celebrated by the Rev. James F. McAndrews, SJ. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Council on Aging or to the Williamstown Commons Patient Activities Fund through the funeral home. She leaves a son-in-law, Dale Sanderson, and two daughters-in-law, Doris and Jean McAndrews. She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Gebarowski. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
