Robert Joseph Piccolo Sr., 57, of Front Street died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Waterbury, Conn., on Jan. 26, 1948, son of Corrideo and Concetta Infanti Piccolo, he was educated there. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Piccolo was employed as an excavator for B & B Landscaping and Excavation for several years. He enjoyed golfing and playing racquetball. He leaves two sons, Robert J. Piccolo Jr. of Lee and Alex Makarski Piccolo of Housatonic; two daughters, Rebecca Piccolo and Rachel Piccolo, both of Lee; his stepmother, Mary Scappini Piccolo of Wolcott, Conn., his fiancÃ©, Diane Makarski of Housatonic; a sister, Joyce Thibodeau of Waterbury, Conn., and his former wife, Sherrie Ruccio of Lee. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Robert J. Piccolo Sr. will be Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at 8 a.m. from MAIORANO FUNERAL HOME, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, Conn., to St. Peter & Paul Church for a Mass at 9 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Bridget Cemetery, Housatonic, at noon. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. He is survived by a niece, Deborah Diogostine and a nephew, Joseph Diogostine III.
