Jeannie T. Barr, 70, of 157 West Park St., Brown Memorial Court, died Saturday at home. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 18, 1935, daughter of Andrew and Robina Holmes Wylie, she was educated in schools there. She moved to Lee in 1973. Mrs. Barr was employed by the former Edgecombe Nursing Home in Lenox for 22 years, retiring in 1995. Before that, she was a conductress on double-decker buses in Glasgow. She and her husband, Walter Barr, were married Feb. 28, 1959. He died June 13, 1987. She leaves two daughters, Lynn Simmons and Carol A. Crawford, both of Lee; two sisters, Ruby McGarity of Becket and Marlene Haviland of Lee, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Jeannie Barr, who died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, will be Wednesday at 11 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, Mass. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Lee. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, Nov. 15, from 5 to 7. She leaves her loving grandchildren, Barry, Heather, Nikki and Cassidy, and several nieces and nephews.
