Eric John "Boe" Kuuttila

Eric John "Boe" Kuuttila, 44, of 68 Sprague St., Danielson, Conn., formerly of Great Barrington, died Saturday at his home of cancer. Born in Westerly, R.I., on March 11, 1961, son of Jouko Kuuttila of Clearwater, Fla., and Joan E. Sweet Trudeau of Griswold, Conn. For the past year, Mr. Kuuttila worked at Mike's Harley Davidson in Groton, Conn. Prior to that, he worked for many years as salesman at Falvey's in New London, Conn. He married the former Charlene Leonard on Sept. 12, 1987, in Moosup, Conn. They were residents of Great Barrington for 10 years until moving to Connecticut in 1996. Besides his parents and his wife, he leaves two sons, Eric John Kuuttila Jr. and Thomas Alan Kuuttila, both of Danielson; a daughter, Bethany Lea Kuuttila Jr. of Danielson; two brothers, Jouko Kuuttila of Griswold and Jason Kuuttila of Moosup; two sisters, Pamela Menard of Norwich, Conn., and Eileen Scavoni of Sterling, Conn.; his stepfather, Gerard Trudeau of Griswold; three stepbrothers, Gary Trudeau of Lisbon, Conn., Wayne Trudeau of Moosup and Jerry Trudeau of Canterbury, Conn.; four stepsisters, Kimberly Meardy of Jewett City, Conn., Glenda White of Canterbury and Shirleen Trudeau of Moosup, and his grandparents, Alan and Beverly Johnson of Sterling. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A funeral service for Eric John "Boe" Kuuttila, who died Nov. 12, 2005, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at GAGNE-PIECHOWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 490 Voluntown Road, Route 138, Jewett City. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Kuuttila also leaves brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Menard of Norwich, Jeffrey Scavoni of Sterling, Chris Leonard of Egremont, Shawn Farnham of Jewett City and Edward Farnham Jr. of New Lebanon, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Jenny Milton of Lee; his in-laws, Brenda and Edward Farnham of New Lebanon, and Charles Leonard of Norwich, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by a sister, Lori Kuuttila.
