Marie Ida Ziaja Chilson Boudreau

Marie Ida Ziaja Chilson Boudreau, 87, of 139 Bellevue Ave., formerly of 107 Alger St., died Wednesday at Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield after an illness. Born in Bennington, Vt., on Nov. 26, 1917, daughter of Henry A. and Elizabeth Caron Maynard, she moved with her family to Adams and attended schools there. Mrs. Boudreau was last employed as a senior caretaker technician at the former Adams Nursing Home. She had also worked as a stylist/hairdresser at various salons. She was a communicant of the Roman Catholic Parish of Adams and attended Notre Dame Church. She enjoyed needlework, designing and sewing clothes for her family. She was first married to Stanley Ziaja and then to Delman Chilson. Her husband, Dennis Boudreau, whom she married in 1965, died in 2001. She leaves a son, Robert R. Ziaja of Adams; a stepson, Robert Boudreau of Florida; a stepdaughter, Gloria Evans of Pittsfield; a brother, Richard Maynard of Cheshire; a sister, Helen LaCrosse of Adams; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Reading of Sacred Literature will mark Marie Boudreau's funeral service on Friday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m. at the MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Liberty St., Adams. The family will greet friends Friday from 11:30 until the service. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home. She leaves three grandchildren, Marrianne McGreal of Texas and Mark Ziaja of Pittsfield, and Nicholas Evans, and three great-grandchildren, Patrick McGreal, Malina Ziaja and Anelia Carol Ziaja.
