Victoria Sedgwick

Victoria Sedgwick, 91, of 17 Pleasant St., died Tuesday afternoon at Williamstown Commons. Born in Savoy on Dec. 28, 1913, daughter of Joseph and Julia Zimna Tabor, she attended schools there. Mrs. Sedgwick last worked as an inspector at the former Jarisch Paper Box Co. in North Adams for 14 years, retiring in 1978. Earlier, she had worked at General Electric Co. in Pittsfield, and at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. and Signet Associates in Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality and the Polish Women's Alliance. Her husband, Norman D. Sedgwick, whom she married Aug. 28, 1937, died July 13, 1966. She leaves two daughters, Darlene Truskowski and Beverly Krutiak, both of Savoy, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Victoria Sedgwick will be Saturday, Nov. 19, at 11:30 a.m. from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 at the funeral home.
