Lawrence Rossi

Lawrence Rossi, 64, of 2619 Henderson Mountain Road, Jasper, Ga., a native of Great Barrington, died Monday at home. Born on Jan. 24, 1941, son of Francis and Gertrude McLaughlin Rossi, he was a 1958 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He moved to Georgia in 1990. He served in the Navy as a machinist's mate from 1959 to 1963. Mr. Rossi worked as a millwright. He enjoyed carpentry and did jobs at Norman Rockwell's home in Stockbridge and at Arrowhead in Pittsfield. He and his wife, the former Eileen Kelly, would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary Feb. 1. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Glenn Rossi of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Timothy Rossi and Colin Rossi, both of Jasper; a brother, Richard Rossi of Hartford, Conn., and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lawrence "Larry" Rossi, who died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, will be conducted tomorrow at 4 in the chapel at Cagle Funeral Home in Jasper.
