Joan A. Arndt, 70, of 151 New Windsor Road died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center, where she had been a patient for two weeks. Born in Pittsfield on March 2, 1935, daughter of Edmund E. and Edna Sayers Campbell, she was a 1953 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Arndt was a homemaker. She was a member of Hinsdale Congregational Church and enjoyed flea markets and tag sales, collecting antiques, making stained-glass ornaments and playing cards. She and her husband, Alfred Arndt, were married Aug. 29, 1953, at Hinsdale Congregational Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Jeffrey Arndt of Titusville, Fla., and Corey Arndt of Slidell, La.; a daughter, Audrey Tiska of Hinsdale, and three grandchildren FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Joan A. Arndt, who died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, will be Wednesday at 11 at BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, Dalton, conducted by the Rev. Carolyn Peck. Calling hours are tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Maple Street Cemetery. She also leaves her grandchildren, Joshua, Naomi and Rachel Tiska, all of Hinsdale. Her dear brother, Earl Campbell, predeceased her.
