Adella Gamache

Adella Gamache, 79, of 28 Valley St., died Friday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Adams on Nov. 9, 1926, daughter of Andrew and Katarzyna Bryda Rogowski, she attended local schools, including St. Stanislaus School. Mrs. Gamache was a secretary for many years in the family business, Greylock Ice and Fuel Co. She retired in 1990. Prior to that she worked the former New England Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator, and for the former Cornish Wire Co., Williamstown. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church. She was a member of Adams Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing cards. She and her husband, Donald L. Gamache, were married Oct. 14, 1950. He died May 25, 1990. She leaves a daughter, Barbara Bushey of Williamstown; two sons, Donald L. "Sonny" Gamache Jr. and Richard Gamache, both of Adams; two sisters, Daisy Rogowski and Stacia Wilczek, both of Adams, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Adella Gamache, who died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, will be Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at 9 at TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Church, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Community of Adams. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Stanislaus Church School, or the St. John Kanty Scholarship Fund, in care of St. Stanislaus Church through the funeral home, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220. She also leaves a son-in-law, David Bushey; a daughter-in-law, Paula Gamache; five grandchildren, David E. Bushey Jr., Christine Bushey, Shelly Gamache, Wendy Gamache and Donald J. Gamache, and a great-grandson, Elliott Moore. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Rogowski and Emily Rogowski, and two brothers, Frank Rogowski and Walter Rogowski.
