Arthur L. Buda

Arthur L. Buda, 47, of 49 Spring Road died yesterday morning at home. Born in Adams on Jan 31, 1958, son of the late Albert Budda, Jr. and Jeannette E. LeMire Buda, he graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School in 1966. Mr. Buda was an equipment mechanic/operator for various contractors, including the Dean Repair Co. of North Adams; the R. Randall Construction Corp.; Paul Comeau, Inc., and the Superior Spring Co. He was a member of the Catholic Parishes of Adams, attending Notre Dame Sept Douleurs Church. He had an avocation of restoring trucks and was a member of the Maple Grove Civic Club, the Adams Mountain Club, and the Adams Lodge #1335 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He leaves his wife, Marcella J. Briggs Comeau Buda, whom he married on Aug. 22, 1998. Besides his wife, he leaves a brother, Ronald A. Buda of Adams; three sisters, Carol A. Richardson of Cheshire, Beverly Cardinal of Adams and Nancy Davis of Pittsfield; two nieces, and a nephew. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Arthur L. Buda, who died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at noon in Notre Dame Church, followed by inurnment in the family lot in Bellevue Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 10 to noon at the MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME in Adams. Flowers are accepted and donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Society of America, care of the funeral home, 2-8 Liberty St., Adams, MA 01220. He leaves his nieces, Danielle Buda of N.C. and Kelly Boulerice of Pittsfield, and a nephew, Ronald A. Buda, Jr. of Adams.
