Kathleen R. Dudziak

Kathleen R. Dudziak, 55, of 592 Peru Road died at her home on Monday. Born in Manchester, N.H., on Nov. 1, 1950, daughter of the former Shirley MacPherson Huot of Dalton and the late Joseph Huot, she was in the first graduating class at St. Agnes School in Dalton. She graduated from Wahconah High School in 1968 and then attended McCann Technical High School in North Adams. Mrs. Dudziak was formerly employed as an administrative assistant to Dr. Breit, who was chief of staff at Hillcrest Hospital. She volunteered for the Berkshire County Chapter of the American Red Cross, HospiceCare of The Berkshires, and the Berkshire Medical Center Women's Auxiliary. She was an animal lover and enjoyed golfing and boating on Ashmere Lake with her friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed shopping and being with her family. Besides her mother, she leaves her husband, Stephen Dudziak of Hinsdale, whom she married April 4,1970; one daughter, Jennifer Meyers of Savannah, Ga.; a son, Jeffrey S. Dudziak of Somerville, and a sister, Patricia Gero of Dalton. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Kathleen R. Dudziak, 55, who died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 12:30 p.m., from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1 at St. Agnes' Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor. Burial will be held in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Thursday prior to the funeral from 11 to 12:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter or the University of Massachusetts Medical Transplant Center in care of the funeral home 890 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226. Kathy will be lovingly missed by many nieces and nephews.
