Carol Ann Schneider

Carol Ann Schneider, 71, of 9 Elm St. died Tuesday afternoon at her home. Born in Adams on Jan. 15, 1935, daughter of Alphonse and Dorothy Steele Brodeur, she attended Adams schools, graduating from the former Adams High School in 1953. Mrs. Schneider last worked in the office of her husband's business, Greylock Electric Co. in Adams, until retiring in 1992. Earlier, she worked at the former Mohawk Industries in Adams. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas and a member of Franklin Chapter No. 92, Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed camping. Her husband, Bernard C. Schneider, whom she married Oct. 23, 1954, died Oct. 10, 2005. She leaves two daughters, Katherine J. Clark of North Adams and Lynn M. Love of Adams; two sons, Ronald M. Schneider of North Adams and Michael D. Schneider of Adams; two brothers, Robert Brodeur of Pittsfield and David Brodeur of Cheshire; a sister, Janet Ziter of Adams; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Carol Ann Schneider, who died Jan. 24, 2006, will be held on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at 9 a.m. from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Schneider enjoyed spending time with her family. She also leaves a son-in-law, Keith Love of Adams, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
