Eleanor Cumm

Eleanor Cumm, 86, formerly of 567 State Road, died Sunday at North Adams Commons. Born in Adams on Dec. 2, 1919, daughter of Samuel and Addie Chittenden Foster, she attended schools there and in Williamstown, where she moved as a child. Mrs. Cumm was primarily a homemaker. She worked for several years for the former Greylock Mills, retiring in 1982. Before that, she was employed by the former Hunter Outdoor Products. She enjoyed walking. Her husband, Bernard Cumm, whom she married June 4, 1955, died Feb. 23, 1983. She leaves a daughter, Debra Defoe of Adams, a brother, Paul Foster of North Adams, and a sister, Doris Foster of Williamstown. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Eleanor Cumm will be conducted tomorrow at 11 from Trottier-Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220 by the Rev. Donald Gray, pastor of First Baptist Church in Adams. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 10 until the time of the service. She also leaves two nieces, Carleen Roberts and Gail Cook, both of North Adams.
