Dorothy G. Connelly, 81, of 76 Fassell Road died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center following a brief illness. Born Nov. 26, 1924, in Westfield, daughter of Harold L. and Violet Merritt Hunt, she was a 1943 graduate of the former Dalton High School. Mrs. Connelly was employed as a sales clerk at Patrick's Pharmacy and then at Samale's Pharmacy, retiring after 35 years. Her husband, John Connelly, whom she married on April 24, 1943, died Oct. 15, 1997. She leaves her sons, John J. "Jack" Connelly Jr. of Meridian, Conn., Arthur L. Connelly of St. Mary's, Ga., and Robert E. Connelly of Hinsdale; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Dorothy G. Connelly, who died Jan. 30, 2006, will be held Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at 3 p.m. at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Robert Kyte, pastor of the Dalton Congregational Church, officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in the Maple Street Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be from 2 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to the Hinsdale Ambulance Fund in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226. She is predeceased by a brother and a sister.
