Carol A. Cassidy

Carol A. Cassidy, 59, of 127 Full Circle St., Forestville, Conn. and formerly of Great Barrington, died Wednesday at Bristol Hospital, Bristol, Conn. Born in Great Barrington on Sept. 4, 1946, daughter of Erwin F. and Laura Chenot Lord, she attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Williams High School Class of 1964. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Central Connecticut College. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Vesper Hills in Great Barrington, Fairview Hospital and Boston Hospital. She most recently worked as a Registered Nurse for Brittany Farms Health Care in New Britain, Conn. She was a former communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Housatonic. Her husband Maurice, whom she married in 1975 at Corpus Christi Church, died in June 1993. She leaves a brother, Charles A. "Chuck" Lord of Housatonic, and a sister, Charlene A. Webster of Great Barrington. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral Services for Carol A. Cassidy, who died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, will be held Monday, Feb. 13, at 9 a.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with the Rev. Anthony Jutt, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Carol's memory may be made to the Corpus Christi Building Fund in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230-1815. She leaves a son-in-law, Leonard Webster; a sister-in-law, Alice Lord; two brothers-in-law Donald and Raymond Cassidy and their wives, Lana and Elizabeth; her goddaughter, Kimberly A. Webster, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews.
