Nancy Warden

Nancy Warden, 72, of the Teresian House in Albany, N.Y., died there Thursday. She was a former resident of Lee. Born in Feeding Hills, she was the daughter of Honore and Frances Roberts Savaria. Mrs. Warden was committed to many civic organizations, including the Lee Visiting Nurse Association, Lee Public School Building Commitee, Lee Library children's story hour, the American Red Cross blood drives and many activities at St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics, playing the organ, antiquing and gardening. At the time of her illness, she was employed at the Sisters of Visitation Monastery in Tyringham. She leaves two sons, Clifton H. Warden of Mesa, Ariz., and Frederic A. Warden III of Colonie, N.Y.; two daughters, Susan F. Warden of Lee and Katherine A. Warden of Greenwich, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, and a great-grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial Mass for Nancy Savaria Warden, who died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11 at St. Mary's Church, Lee. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by NEWCOMER CANNON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Colonie, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lee VNA, High Street, Lee, MA 01238; Lee Library, 100 Main St., Lee, MA 01238, or a charity of one's choice in memory of Nancy Savaria Warden. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.newcomerfamily.com. She was predeceased by a brother, Theodore Savaria; a sister, Martha Savaria Carduff, and her former husband, Frederic A. Warden Jr.
